The following morning. Winners in front of the buckets. Losers in the ice.
This was our eleventh art battle. I was sore for about a week after this one.
Lots of incredible pictures on Billy’s site too.
All the pictures of the paintings are shown in their current state. Loser paintings held up in the freeze fairly well. Winners and Losers. All yours for $500. We’d like to keep them all together but feel free to contact me with additional bids.

i’m up for trading
what is that
you’re emanating?

and how is this problem
an opportunity?

I’m seeing signs again or I’m crazy again.
Either way, I have a
gut feeling
…
that this
means
things are
gonna be
okey dokey

and then you can tell me if I’m wrong.

I’ve just had the longest and strangest day.
Also,
I’m going to be a starving artist when I grow up.

It’s a common question I get.
I had to get a shot of the chalkboard on my way out.
“red queen syndrome”
“pausement”
“must be +- size of adult human”
The chalk board is always full of invented words and diagrams of small connections.
True sustainability from concept to construction.

I can’t stop.
I am perpetually motioning.
It’s beyond my control.

Yesterday was a long day of shanty-ing.
A candid timer shot of Andrew drilling just as Elsa spots the blinking light.

say something new
even if it’s blue
just make it true

i intend to not stare so much.

don’t resist
just
give
up
hope
buy something
buy everything
start with this thirty dollar charcoal drawing.

Trace your hand,
make it gobble.
All of my roomates and anyone who stopped by had arts and crafts time.
Since there was nothing on, we glued a lot of things to the television.
Oh giant Angelina head, how I miss you.
Attention to detail.
Some more old film photos I stumbled on yesterday.
In retrospect,
I might have been
a bad roommate.
Also
The television might
be in
the Mississippi.
There are some things that
I don’t recall.
Contributors to the tv-monster that I recall: John Paul Young, Charlie Smyrk, Kristen Banasik, Garrett Gilbertson, Aneesa Adams, William Hessian, Dan Skogstad, Stevo Bloechl, Eric Nelson … and probably more. Please pipe in if you glued something. I’ll add you to the list. I can remove you too, if you’re embarrassed or something.

I was digging through old film photos.
I wasn’t looking for this picture, but I found it.
This was the WSU painting studio sink.
I always liked to call it the milk sink.
I thought it was an interesting partner with my current sink.
I’m heavily interested in looking at other photographs of artist sinks.
Please share if you have any.

I’m just
passing this one
along from
the up above
do something
quick
because
…
you’re dying

It might take eight to raise this barn.

Where did that one go?

What is with this guy anyway?

When I worked at
the bottle factory.
I used
to wonder
about the workers in
different factories,
where the products
got interesting.
After a long
shitty day,
how could
they resist?

a very viney vixen
fixin for a mixin

Some silly architects
doing some silly pondering
I should have written “purdy sturdy”

It’s a shame too.
